This morning I had a nightmare that an evil child was watching me as I slept. This child somewhat looked like the girl off poultergeist. It was breathing heavily in my ear and making weird noises. It scared me so bad that I woke up. As I woke up I saw my cat sitting on my bedside table staring at me.
Freeeeaky!

Eastgate Drug (an old lady came up to the drive through window and asked for her husband’s prescriptions. “can I have Harry Ball’s medicine please?” )
Fairfield Inn (Where in a short year and a half I went from being a housekeeper, to breakfast attendant, Front Desk, to Front Desk Supervisor and MOD on weekends… made my parents so proud)
Deseret Book (True Story… I worked with a boy and a girl who were really nerdy… on Halloween they both came dressed to work as Harry Potter… a couple of years later I ran into them… together… they were married and had a little baby nerd)
Sizzler (I had a huge crush on a mexican cook named Jesus… he had one wonkey eye but he was really hot)

I love my ward out here. Love the ward members. Not just the ones I know well either. Even the ones I don’t know are pretty cool. My calling is fun and challenging. Oh and the coolest thing ever is that my bishop wears a bow tie and totally pulls the look off.
Nursery has been like the craziest nursery in the world we have like 18 kids and a Nursery room that only Polly Pockets could live in. But yesterday we worked out some major kinks and I think everything is starting to head in the right direction.
My kids are just getting cuter and cuter by the day. Just wanted to share a cute story of the two of them. About 2 weeks ago Chad and I were both sick (Chad with a man cold) I just had a regular cold. The kids were being beasts that day and I was getting pretty fed up with Kate crying and whining for no reason. Kate was sitting in her high chair and dallen was sitting at the table. She started crying and I “said” in my scariest mom voice “Kate if you don’t stop screaming I’m going to Freak Out” Such a proud mommy moment :)
I was getting things from the fridge and so I had my back turned to the kids when I heard Dallen whisper in a very serious tone “Kate Be Happy” as I turned around Dallen was sitting there with the biggest smile on his face that I’ve ever seen. Trying to be so happy for me. Kate had stopped crying and was just looking at him dumbfounded… I burst out laughing. Then Kate started to smile. I love that Dallen is such a sweet guy.
Every morning since one if not all of us are in pretty grumpy moods we listen to these two songs. And we have to watch these versions of the video. Kate and Dallen both love watching them. Its very cute to see Dallen sing along. He loves the Three Little Birds song and I hear him singing bits and pieces through out the day.
Okay last but not least
Q-Whats grosser than gross?
A- Drinking some water through a straw, water not coming up for some reason, suck a little harder on straw, something along with the water shoots in your mouth, spit out the something and water in the sink, see a dead fly.
SICK!
So my phone died. Its been drowned in the sink, dropped inthe tub, and in the toilet…
by this sweet little thing —–
So I ordered a new phone. I am extremely cheap er.. thrifty… and when the lady was trying to sell me a really crazy cool phone. It made pizza, would clean all the bathrooms in my house, and even would leave dirty phone msgs for Chad in my voice, (I know right! what a great feature! I would sooo love this. because any time I try to do anything remotely sexy for Chad I start laughing like a lunatic and fumble on my words and say dumb stuff like “Hey Hot Stuff want me to uh… hee hee hee… I don’t know haa haa… rub your feet” and then he’s like “uh sure… okay” and then I’m like CRAP! now I’m stuck rubbing his feet!!!!) (anyone else like that? uh just me?)
anyway so that phone was to expensive for me. it was like $250 or something.
so I was like… uh what do you have for free.
and she was like “I’ve got this piece of crap phone that was cool a couple of years back and now all the old people have them”
“Or option B is this piece of crap phone that not even people in third world countries are using”
and I was like “are they both free”
and she was like “uh yeah cheap wad they are”
and I was like “okay well which one in your opinion sucks the least”
and she was like “the one that was cool a couple years back that only old people use”
so I got that one.
So when I got it on my door step a couple days later I showed Chad. and the first thing that he said was
“Was it free?”
and then I started laughing. I totally am married to my soul mate.
Then it brought me back to somethig that happened about a year ago that I now feel like a total loser about. We were out to dinner with our friends John and Marcella. We went to Olive Garden and there was like a 30 minute wait time. Since we were so close to the mall I said “Hey lets go over to Tmobile since Chad needs a new phone” and they were like “Okay”
Oh and to give you back ground John and Marcella have like really cool phones. they always have. I remember when Marcella showed me her brand new Pink Razor phone back in the day. At the time the only people who had those phones were her and people like Bill Gates. and John currently has a phone that looks like at any moment it could transform into an Autobot.
So as we walked into the store I say very loud
“Where’s the free phones?”
*I swear it like echoed off the walls and everyone just stopped and stared at us.
Chad starts looking around at all the phones and I just kept repeating
“Only the free ones, you can only pick out the free phone”
the sales man comes over and is asking what we need and I just can’t be quiet!
“yeah can you show us the ones that are free. we want the free ones”
the whole while I bet John and Marcella are like “Uh we are not with them.” I think they even got out their awesome phones and started looking at the internet, made calls to outer space, took pictures and sent them to each other. See us, we’re cool, we have good phones… we are not cheap.
So then Chad was like “I found a phone I like”
and I from across the store “Is it free?”
It was… and we got it. and now a year later it is my phone. because Chad got the new phone(that I just ordered for myself… because I’m a cool wife and it makes me feel sad to send my husband out into the buisness world full of black berries and iphones with a old free phone that Tmobile employees are now giving as Halloween treats for kids to use as play phones. Now Chad has the new phone. The one that use to be cool a couple of years back.. that old people now use :)
his laugh- its unmistakable. my brother, sister, and I all laugh just like him when we really get going. its in our genes.
he listens to cool music- and I don’t mean like “cool old people music” he just loves all types of music.. whether its “soothing ocean music” to current hits.
because he can shake it!!! and a lot of that is due to Sonia and her insane love for a good time and parties. but I think its cool that my dad will get up and dance with everyone else.
My favorite memory of my dad is when I was 4 years old he took me to see my very first movie all by myself. 101 Dalmations. I have a very vivid memory of looking over at him in the dark and seeing him smiling down at me : )
Camping- we love to camp and its been fun to do it growing up, Lake Powell, in the mountains, Fish Lake, Bear Lake. I am very excited to go to Bear Lake this summer with everyone.
Snickers and Coca Cola- My dad loves these two things. A lot. now when ever I see them I automatically think of him.
True story- my dad has saved my life. when I was three years old my dad took me, my brother, my sister and I to a lake. we also brought our two labs. Lady and Buff. Lady was cool. Buff was crazy. he drank antifreeze and went retarded. So I remember standing on a dock and the dogs were around me. Buff got a little hyper and knocked me into the lake. I remember sinking to the bottom and seeing bits of dirt, twigs, and leaves floating around me. My dad then jumped in and saved me.
You know you are a “Long” when you can think of a bazillion new companies, ideas, inventions, ways to make money. My Dad is CEO of this family trait.
Going to disneyworld was AWESOME!!! We went from sun up to sun down. It was fun to build memories with my dad, Sonia, and my sister Kathy as well as my own family.
I always loved working for my dad. He always has given me a job at his company. Way back when he first started I’d mail out post cards ; ) No matter what I know that I have a job waiting for me at Hollywood FotoFix
I love my dad for a billion reasons + infinity.

I just know it. I can feel it in me bones.
You know when you wake up in the morning and you just feel so durn happy! Thats how I feel today. I went to bed feeling like crap. Because I lost on my 100% eating clean challenge after only 3 days. and to top it off after I lost I decided to just go for it and ate 1/2 pan of rice crispy treats. and 2 mini heath bars, and 2 packs of smarties.
The funny thing is that when you are eating healthy your body feels healthy. and when you eat like crap your body feels that way too. Like last night I went to bed feeling so sick and I looked like I was 6 months pregnant.
but this morning I looked over to see Chad staring right in my eyes with a big smile on his face and then he kissed me good morning and said good bye. and all of the sudden I was in a great mood and I thought “Today’s going to be a Good Day!” and so I hopped out of bed, put on my work out clothes, (this is 6am mind you) and went and did Turbo Jam and Abs.
Things I’m going to do today to make it a really good day
Straighten up my house
3 loads of laundry
Take the kiddos to the pool
Take a siesta when we get home
Call some people (I haven’t talked with my family in a while)
Plan a yummy healthy dinner
Have game night with Chad
